Sabarmati – The Seminar Place

'The Seminar Place' named after the evocative Sabarmati showcases the main reading and discussion panels of ILF Samanvay. It features interpretations of the concept of 'language' and the current ILF theme 'Insider/Outsider'.

Narmada - New Poetree

Samanvay Pithara Poetry Contest is a search for new talent in poetry in Indian Indian Languages. From the entries received in the Narmada New Poetree 'pithara', 15 young poets from different languages are invited to read their poetry at ILF Samanvay.

Alaknanda - Apropos of Abandon

Named after the Alaknada, 'Apropos of Abandon' features creative individuals who have seminally transformed a field of knowledge and creativity through their work in conversation with significant critical thinkers.

Vaigai - Veritable Acts

ILF Samanvay is founded on the conviction that language cannot be understood in mere verbal terms. Hence, the vertical Vaigai, brings many Veritable Arts into the main frame of the festival, thus making arts and performance spaces an integral part of the ILF Samanvay experience.

Mahanadi - Muse and Musings

The vertical 'Muse and Musings' are a veritable Mahanadi--it show cases book matters. Book stalls, book releases and other bibliophile's delights are the subject of this true blue space.

Ajay - Apprentices’ Course

Apart from the main readings, discussions and conversations, ILF Samanvay also organises free registration workshops in various fields of knowledge and creativity, hosted by eminent experts. Ajay is the Apprentices' Course at the festival, and contributes to realising the festival's mandate of creating a sustainable future for creative and critical thinking and action.

Amaravati - Awards

Amaravati is the space for awards and recognitions at ILF Samanvay. ILF Samanvay Bhasha Samman for the best book published in one of the current focal languages in the last 5 years, and the Vani-Samanvay Distinguished Translator Award fall under this vertical

Yamuna - The Yes Band!

While the seven colours of the spectrum represents the seven main verticals, ILF Samanvay understands that the convergence of the colours into a white or black future is entirely dependent on the youth of the country. Hence, we create the Yamuna, The Yes Band of ILF Samanvay constituted by young volunteers and participants.
