Raj Liberhan is a senior administrator and institution builder. After serving the financial services of the Government of India for thirty years, Raj Liberhan moved to the non-governmental sector to become the first Chief Executive of the India Habitat Centre, a position he held till 2014. Under his leadership, IHC premiered a unique institutional model combining the strengths of all the professional fields working in, for and towards the construction and sustainability of habitats. He has conceived and set up economic and financial solutions for large organisations, budget formulation and management, contract evaluation and negotiation, economic viability, identification of audiences, etc.
Raj Liberhan also made of IHC a hub bringing together in one space academics, intellectuals, and citizens for progressive debates and collective ideations, and he is himself a noted columnist and speaker on contemporary questions.
Satyanand Nirupam is the editorial director, Rajkamal Prakashan Group and Creative Director at Patna Literature Festival. In the past, he has worked with Delhi Press as associate editor and with Penguin Books India as editor. In his years with Penguin, he steadily built a list of important titles, by established as well as emerging authors, focusing exclusively on original works. These offbeat titles spoke to the evolving needs of Hindi readership. Nirupam plays an active role in promoting a book-reading culture and debates-discussions in Hindi through all possible media channels. As member, programme advisory committee, India Habitat Centre, he coordinates a poetry reading series called Kavi Ke Sath.
He has also been coordinator and co-concept developer for Bahastalab, a popular debate series. Bringing literature and litterateurs to people is what Nirupam loves doing best.
Poet and fiction writer Giriraj Kiradoo is founder-editor of the bilingual journal Pratilipi, and founder-managing director of the publishing initiative, Pratilipi Books. He has edited three books, published poetry, fiction and translation in reputed journals. Some of his work has been translated into Urdu, Marathi, Catalan and English. A recipient of the Bharat Bhushan Agrawal Smruti Poetry Award and the Krishna Baldev Vaid Fellowship for fiction, he translates in Hindi, English and Rajasthani.
A university teacher by profession, he has also worked with the Rajasthan Sahitya Akademi as associate editor, with Siyahi as consultant, with Sangam House International Writer’s Residency Program as advisor, and is currently a collaborator with the French poetry journal Recours au Poème. With fellow poets Bodhisattva and Ashok Kumar Pandey, he co-founded and organized twice the biggest independent poetry event in Hindi, Kavita Samay (2011-2012).
Prateeksha has been working with ILF Samanvay as Team Coordinator from June 2014 till September 2015. After completing her postgraduate degree in literature from Delhi University, she is working as a writer with the India Today Group. She has conceptualized a session on ‘Tibet’ at ILF Samanvay 2015.
